The Jonathan Alvord House is a 1786 gambrel-roofed home on North Meadow Road in Windsor. It was built for Alvord by Ephraim Brown. Around 1840, Alva Fenton had a store in the basement.

Amazing house by the Farmington River. Just saw a wonderful black and white photo taken by the photographer Philip Trager in the 1970’s of this house in the New York Public Library on 5th Ave & 42nd Street. I immediately recognized the subject of his photo of the yard and foundation to the top of the door.
