The house at 99 Schulman Veselak Road is listed in the Town of East Haddam Assesor’s Property Value List as built in 1740. This is older than any other house or building in your list. Should you include this in your listing?
Joe,
Thanks for letting me know about the house. This page is not a comprehensive listing of all historic homes in town, but only those that I have featured so far on this website. I will keep this house in mind to add to the site next time I take pictures in East Haddam. For buildings that I post about on this site, I usually like to have additional information, such as the name of the first occupant. Assessor’s dates are often wrong, so I like to find other sources that provide dates of construction as well if I can. The house you mentioned is included in the historic resources inventory for East Haddam, with a date of 1750:

Is 41 Town St, in East Haddam a historic house?
The links on this page to the East Haddam and Moodus Homepage, and the East Haddam Historical Society Museum are broken. The link to the Historical Society is http://www.easthaddamhistory.org. Thanks so much for fixing the link!
Jesse,
I’ve fixed the links, thank You!
