Built in 1893, on Wethersfield Avenue in Hartford for Mary Borden Munsill, the daughter of Gail Borden, who had invented condensed milk and founded Borden Milk Products. The house has an irregular Queen Anne design, with many elaborate features. The stone arches also reflect the influence of the Richardsonian Romanesque style.

Her husband was Samuel Mills Munsill, aka Mills S Munsill.
Update on the house: http://courantblogs.com/ct-real-estate/foreclosed-borden-munsill-mansion-in-hartford-could-get-new-life/
I would love this house. I have wondered about it as I pass by it every day on my way to visit a loved one in I.O.L.
This is a family home. My grandfather is Leslie Borden Ulrich, Mary Borden’s grandson (if I have my generations right). Lovely home and an interesting family.
According to family lore Mary Jane Munsill gave her home to Yale- New Haven Hospital in her later life or in her will. My mother-in-law was her greatgrand daughter and she loved telling me Borden family stories.
My brother bought this home in 2013. He doesn’t even use it. I’m going to start a Healing Circle on Saturdays. Starting in June 2018. I’m a social worker. I’ll update here what date it’s starting if anyone wants to attend.
My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on a variety of websites for about
a year and am nervous about switching to another platform. I have heard excellent things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress posts into it?
Any help would be really appreciated!
My ather was david ransom, architectural historian.
