St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church is on Wethersfield Avenue, across from Colt Park. The architect of the church was John J. McMahon and it was built in 1952. Here is a video of Nebo i Zemlia, a Ukrainian Christmas Carol, being performed in the church:

I’ve tried to call the parish house but since there is no answer I’m sending this e-mail. My brother, Steve Kudriavetz wants me to thank you again for your generous help with finding my mother’s (Anna Kudriavetz) Baptismal Certificate. As you may know, her parents were founders of St. Michaels and brought over the first Ukrainian Priest to Hartford so you probably had to go far back into the records.
Mom died early this month in Florida.
She received Last Rights there. With the new approval by the Pope and Bishop Chomnycky for cremation, she was cremated so that we could have her remains at St. Michael’s for her Funeral Mass. We would like to reserve the date of Saturday, April 30th for the Funeral Mass and internment at the Ukrainian cemetery. If we can do it at 10:00 AM, relatives from other parts of the country will be able to make the Mass and internment. Thank you. Nancy Ramsey 707-343-1627
