By 1852, the house at 99 Great Hill Road (as well as the land across the street) in North Guilford was owned by Victor Fowler (1799-1868). It is uncertain when the house was built, but it may date to c. 1820. A large two-story porch was added to the house in the 1940s.
The house at 2734 Long Hill Road in North Guilford is thought to have been built c. 1835 and may have been used as a store. It has previously been dated c. 1825.

The house at 5000 Durham Road in Guilford has been variously dated to 1711, 1754 and 1789. Known as the Samuel Russell II House, it is part of Bluff Head Farm, which includes several historic barns. The farm is located across the street from the entrance to Braemore Preserve (more…)
The house at 1169 Long Hill Road in Guilford was built in 1838 for James Stone Loper (1802-1888). It features a large Greek Revival doorway and has a large addition, built c. 1840.
Medad Holcomb (died 1858) was a farmer in North Guilford who built the house at 2814 Long Hill Road in 1805. (His son, Medad Holcomb, Jr., would later build the house at 95 Fair Street in Guilford in 1848). In 1809, Rev. William F. Vaill acquired the house while he was pastor of the North Guilford Congregational Church. Later alterations to the house include the switch to smaller chimneys and shingle siding. The Holcomb farm, later owned by John Dudley, was operated as a dairy farm for many years and has many surviving barns and outbuildings.
The house at 50 Ledge Hill Road in North Guilford was built circa 1870 by St. John’s Episcopal Church to serve as a parsonage. It replaced an earlier parsonage, built in the 1830s, that had burned down. Part of the building served as a town primary school sometime during the first decade of the twentieth century. The house has been a private residence since the church sold it in 1940-1941.
