The house at 104 Silver Lane in East Hartford is a classic colonial saltbox. It was built c. 1785-1786 as a small three-room cottage with a rear shed roof by Abraham Clark, who had acquired the land in 1785. The structure was expanded into a five-bay saltbox around 1814 when there was a blacksmith shop just west of the house. There is evidence a tunnel once connected the house with the Hockanum River, about 250 yards away.

After I i moved I still had to go in the house to keep getting my belongings . But to my surprise one day I went and there were other people living in it. But it couldn’t be because I was still the owner. This people destroyed the house they stolen my belongings and it was horrible experience. I decided to call the police, it came to be this people living in my house were homeless people that came and took over the property. It was a horrible situation. I never went back. It is sad every time I drive by I feel so many emotions it’s undescribebable . It’s a cozy beautiful home. However we always though it was hunted because we had a few experiences. But never felt scare.
Some new people own it now and I know the will always take good care of it.
