George Gilbert Deming, a brick mason in Riverton in Barkhamsted, built his own brick Federal-style house at 2 Robertsville Road in 1824. Deming married Belinda Moore in 1825 and lived not far from the house of his father-in-law, Apollos Moore, and just a few doors down from another brick house he built for his brother-in-law, Charles Moore.

Danniel – This site is incredible. Great houses and photography. I went to walk Riverton over the weekend based on this photo.

I have a brick Federal style home in Suffield on the National Register of Historic places. A picture can be found on the google images by searching (463 halladay suffield) There is extensive documented history of the home available. Not just owners but records such as newspaper articles, a phone being installed in 1909 and electricity installed in 1919.

I hope you can make it to Suffield for more pictures for this site. If so I can gladly contribute available historical information.

Thanks, it looks like a good house to get a picture of for this site!
