The William Williams House (1748)
May 13th, 2008 Posted in Colonial, Houses, Lebanon
The William Williams House, at the intersection of CT routes 207 and 87 in Lebanon, was built sometime before 1748, when it was purchased by the Revered Solomon Williams. In 1755, Rev. Williams gave the home to his son, William Williams, who lived there until his death in 1811. William Williams was a delegate to the Continental Congress and a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

I have a miniature pen set and sterling wax seal that supposedly belonged to one of the singers of the Declaration of Independance William Williams. I have some provenance but nothing solid to tie this down. I am looking for a letter or manuscript that William Williams may have used the wax seal. I would be very appreciative if anyone knows of such a document for me to compare William Williams wax seal to the silver wax seal I have in my position. Thank you for taking the time to read my email.
Sincerly
