Hazardville Hotel

Dating to 1857 (or perhaps as early as 1845 according to the nomination for the Hazardville Historic District) in the village of Hazardville in Enfield is the former Hazardville Hotel at 312 Hazard Avenue. The hotel was built and operated by Sylvester Charter. Today the building is used as retail space.

Just across South Maple Road, at 306 Hazard Avenue, is another building from the same period (c. 1850-1860) that was built as a store with a later addition on the east side constructed for a bank:

    306 hazard ave was also the site of ernies barber shop where I went many times with my mom and dad.
